Threes Joke Pattern
List 3 things. Establish a pattern with the first 2 things, but break the pattern with the 3rd and surprise with something absurd.
Examples
I wanted coffee, quiet, and a new personality.
Asking your boss for a promotion is easy; you can write him a letter, you can meet with him, you can punch him in the face...
My dog knows sit, stay, and dry hump toys.
She cleaned out my desk, my car, and my will to live.
She wanted peace, patience, and a mute button.
Breakfast was eggs, toast, and diarrhea.
